Grant's army penetrates the heart of the western confederacy after his victories at Forts Henry and Donelson. His army concentrates at a landing on the Tennessee River near a tiny church named Shiloh. Unknown to Grant, his opponent, General Albert Sydney Johnston, concentrates all the western confederate armies nearby in Corinth. Johnston is gambling all on one mighty attack that he hopes will drive union forces from Tennessee and Kentucky. See the Flash animation for more. |
